We have some exciting news! CCAS has moved to a new and improved version of our platform. Not only is it more powerful and better organized, it is completely responsive (looks great on all devices).

The only issue we are experiencing with this move:
Members who joined after August 22, 2019 WILL NEED TO RE-ENTER THEIR PROFILE QUESTION, ANSWERS. Please accept our sincere apologies for this inconvenience.

We have added a new Profile Question: "Which Category best describes you?"

Categories: Amateur Artist, Professional Artist, Amateur Writer, Professional Writer, Independent Self-Publisher, Traditional Publisher, and Fan.

Please edit your Profile, and select your chosen category. By choosing the category that best describes you, will enable you to add content to the appropriate new modules:
1. Artists: Add photos to the new Arts & Prints Photo Module.
2. Writers: Add your bio information to the new Writers List Module.
3. Publishers: Add your bio information to the new Publishers List Module.

  • Hey Dave,

I just heard about "Modern Christians" and I really like the idea! I've started reading chapter 3. Good stuff! I see a lot of possibilities with your "real, everyday" approach to the Christian walk. Take care and I pray for all the best!
  • I will definitely look it over. I was already looking at the most recent couple of pages and it looks very interesting. Thanks for the suggestions/advice.
  • Nice twist in the end. I didn't expect that. You've got a great series going on. It inspires me to continue my artwork.

    --God bless
  • Hey David, once again the rest of your story has been great and inspiring. Showing how lustful we can be and how we are quick to idolize others (especially concerning relationships). BUT you don't leave it there; you show the redemptive message of the scriptures. I, and I'm sure many others, can personally attests to the things that mike goes through. I'm sure you were inspired by similar experiences in your life. But to see Him use scripture and seek God in the midst of a battle in his mind is awesome. Bro it talked to me, and reminded me of a struggle that use to be big in my life. Though the Lord has decimated my passionate lust in my life, there are still remnant spiritual battles and struggles with the flesh every now and then.

Anyways man, its a great story and Im glad to read it. It'll be cool to see a compilation book, one day. Your work inspires me as well brother.

May God continue to bless your work for His glory.

    God bless you,

    Nathan Bowen

  • Hey David, just wanted to say how great the modern Christians comic on lust was. Continue to do great things in the Lord. The comic blessed me, seeing a great comic with an important Christian message, and was funny at the same time, and I am sure it will do the same for others.
  • Hey, David! Tell me more. Oh, I never signed up on Deviant Art, did you really see something of us on the site?

Consider the words of C.S. Lewis:
"If there lurks in most modern minds the notion that to desire our own good and to earnestly hope for the enjoyment of it is a bad thing, I suggest that this notion has crept in from Kant and the Stoics and is no part of the Christian faith. Indeed, if we consider the unblushing promises of reward and the staggering nature of the rewards promised in the Gospels, it would seem that our Lord finds our desires, not too strong, but too weak. We are half-hearted creatures, fooling around with drink and sex and ambition when infinite joy is offered us, like an ignorant child who wants to go on making mud pies in a slum because he cannot imagine what is meant by the offer of a holiday at sea. We are far too easily pleased."
